- Late November: the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs (ADAP) meets with Graduate Admission Teams (GAT) member of each program/discipline and discuss the timeline, policies, and processes in place
- By December 5th: ADAP sends email to all faculty with details about timeline for graduate recruitment, with an estimate of GTA available to recruit new students in each program
- December 15th: application deadline
- December-January: ADAP works with the Graduate Student Services (GSS) to finalize GTA demands and commitment to existing students. This determines number of GTA offers available
- January 15th: ADAP communicate with each program regarding final number of GTA offers available for recruiting new students.
- January 20th: Nominations are requested by faculty for Pathfinder GTA positions, Laurels tuition remissions and scholarships, and for Provost positions. These nominations are communicated directly to the ADAP via email
- January 30th: CEOAS INTERNAL deadline for filing the Promising Scholar Fellowship. Two nominee per graduate program for each scholarship
- February 14th: Programs make decisions about GTA offers
- Mid-February: Each program coordinate visits for prospective students. Usually these are the prerogative of each program.
- February 16th: Notification of successful CEOAS Provost Fellowship Applications, and Laurels tuition remissions/scholarships
- January-March: the ADAP works with faculty who request a GTA backstop. Details of how backstop offer work are in the email sent by the ADAP in early-December, to all faculty. Typically, require a 50% match with GRA (1 year MS, 2 year PhD), and a commitment to GRA prior to using GTAs.
- March-April: ADAP monitors acceptance and gauge needs for a second round of GTA offers.
- April 15th: final deadline for applicant responses to funded offers
- April: ADAP meets GAT members to consider changes to graduate admission policies and timeline.
- February-May: Application deny notices go out
