Why Giving Matters

The College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences is proud to be a leader in Earth systems science – in both research and teaching. Our faculty are sought after for their expertise on some of the most important issues facing the state and the nation, and our cutting-edge curricula emphasize real-world experiential learning for all students.

Gifts to CEOAS play a vital role in sustaining and enhancing this excellence. Private giving provides the College with the resources we need to fund our highest priorities, including recruiting and retaining exceptional faculty, enhancing student engagement and hands-on learning experiences on land and sea, deepening academic excellence and achieving global impact.

My biggest challenge as interim dean is finding ways to support our students and faculty, especially in this economy. Whether you give to the annual fund, support your favorite program area or establish a named endowment or expendable fund, please know that your gift has an enormous impact on our ability to provide an environment of learning, discovery and innovation where our students can excel and grow.

Thank you for your support of the College.
