Improving fundamental understanding and prediction of seasonal snowpack states and processes, through integrative leveraging of remote sensing, numerical modeling, and innovative ground-based observations and field techniques.
Ocean Mixing: Computer models, Theory and Observations
I study the physics of mixing processes (i.e. turbulence) in the ocean, I develop new ways to add this mixing to computer models of the ocean, and I assess the impacts of this mixing on the Earth system and its climate.
