National and Global Scholarships Advising at Oregon State University is thrilled to announce that Giulia Wood has been named a 2026 Marshall Scholar, the first in OSU history. Giulia is one of 43 students from across the U.S. to receive the honor. As a Marshall Scholar, she will pursue a PhD in Marine Sciences at the University of Liverpool where she will investigate Antarctic krill physiology and their role in biogeochemical cycling in the Southern Ocean.

With only a few extra courses, students can add two new CEOAS credentials to their resumes, both of which address pressing workforce and societal needs. Both options are available as standalone credentials as well, without an Oregon State University degree.
Investigate the inequitable distribution of environmental hazards, engage with diverse human-environment worldviews and develop a strong foundation that will prepare you to address environmental injustices in any career path. (Offered online or on campus and available as a standalone program)
