Attention Prospective Oceanography Students!
The OSU College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences’ undergraduate Oceanography program is pleased to announce the Ruth M. Tyson Oceanography Recruitment Scholarship.
The Ruth M. Oceanography Recruitment Scholarship is a multi-year scholarship available to incoming first-year and transfer students who have been admitted to the undergraduate Oceanography program. Students selected for this scholarship will receive $1000 in the 2026-27 academic year, $1,000 in the 2027-28 academic year, and pending funding considerations this offer may be extended to the 2028-29 and 2029-30 academic years upon continued progress towards completion of your oceanography degree at OSU.
To be considered for this scholarship, please submit a CEOAS undergraduate scholarship application, which is available between November 1, 2025 and March 1, 2026, in the Scholar Dollars portal. See the "How To Apply" section below. Recipients must matriculate in the B.S. degree in Oceanography in Fall 2026 and remain a degree-seeking undergraduate oceanography major and making satisfactory progress through the program curriculum.
