Marine Resource Management Conference and Workshop Travel Funding

Through the generosity of donors and friends, the CEOAS Marine Resource Management  graduate program can offer graduate students support for research expenses and conference/workshop attendance funding through donations from generous endowments and gifts to the program. Funds for research may be used for expenditures such as, but not limited to, research/field work travel, equipment, supplies, or publication fees. Funds for conference or workshop participation are intended to support active participation in a conference or workshop, including registration, abstract fees and travel (lodging, transportation). Active participation includes activities such as presenting a talk or poster, facilitating a session, or participating in a workshop.

The application is available through a link in the “How to Apply” section below. Before you apply, please be sure to read all about eligibility, and the application process below.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and students are eligible to receive funding once per academic year (summer through spring terms). Funds are limited and awards generally range between $500-$1000.

Notification of an award will be sent via OSU's Scholar Dollars system and funds will be disbursed to your OSU student account. Any existing OSU Student Account balance will be paid and remaining funds will be disbursed to you via check or direct deposit. By accepting the award, you agree to use the funds towards the activity (conference/workshop or research) outlined in your application.

Award offers will be made through ScholarDollars. Please check your OSU email inbox for details on any award you may have been offered. Questions may be directed to Kira Hughes.
