How to set up CEOAS routing in Cayuse SP

Cayuse generates the routing order based on the award admin department, the personnel listed in Cayuse, and affiliated depts/centers.

General Information Screen

There is a field titled ‘Award Admin Dept.’ Select your Organization Code. For most CEOAS researchers and proposals, the code should match the organization code listed on the lead PI’s Cayuse profile and is either:

261120 Oceanic and Atmos Science (Not discipline specific; most faculty are coded here.)
261220 OAS‐Geosciences Operations

If you are unsure of the organization code affiliated with your profile, you can find it under the ‘Investigators/Research Team’ tab in Cayuse when you add yourself to the proposal.

If you are submitting a proposal through a large program, the program’s code should be used rather than the Lead PI’s:

261140 Ocean Observing Initiative Network
261150 Oregon Climate Change Res Inst
262000 Ship Operations
261160 OR Wave Energy Validatn Sites (PacWave)
261170 Coop Inst/ClimtOcnEco (CICOES)
261180 Center Oldest Ice Exploration (COLDEX)
262010 RCRV Ship Operations

*Note: Department ‘260000 OAS Dean Use Only - CEOAS’ should NEVER be selected in the ‘Award Admin Dept. field.’

Ignore ‘Affiliated Dept(s)/Centers).’ This is used only in rare circumstances.

Investigators/Research Team Screen

When you add non‐CEOAS personnel, the proposal will automatically route to the affiliated OSU departments and colleges for approval. Only senior personnel need to be added on this screen.

Approving Units Screen

Ensure the ‘Admin Unit’ in the ‘Role(s)’ column is listed first in the routing order.
