The Geology Graduate Program in the OSU College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences (CEOAS) is pleased to offer graduate students support for fieldwork, conference travel, and analytical research activities and expenses through funding made available from generous endowments and gifts to the program. Funds may be used for expenditures such as, but not limited to, analytical expenses, field work travel or activities, fieldwork equipment or supplies, conference registration or abstract fees, lodging, transportation costs related to such travel.
Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis as funds allow. Students may apply as needed but may only receive funding once in an academic year (fall through summer). Some exceptions may be possible where donor funding supports additional awards. Awards generally range between $500-$750.

Eligibility
- Students must be currently enrolled as a graduate student in the CEOAS Geology Program or other degree programs AND being advised by a primary, active member of the Geology faculty.
- Students must be enrolled in the term in which funds are applied/released.
How to Apply
Students are required to submit an application to be considered for an award. Please contact Kira Hughes if you have any questions. Award recipients will be notified via email to their OSU email account.
Post-award Reporting
Within 30 days of completing the funded activity, award recipients are required to submit a report describing how the award was used and its impact on their research and academic development. This information will be shared with donors and the OSU Foundation to demonstrate the impact of this funding.
