Geography Graduate Program Research Travel Awards

Thanks to generous gifts and endowments, the CEOAS Geography and Geospatial Science graduate program is able to offer limited funding to support graduate students’ research activities and research-related participation in professional conferences or workshops.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Each student is eligible to receive an award once per academic year (summer through spring terms). Awards generally range from $500-1000.

Award offers will be made through ScholarDollars. Please check your OSU email inbox for details on any award you may have been offered. Questions may be directed to Kira Hughes.

Applicants must meet three eligibility criteria

  1. Currently enrolled as a graduate student in Geography and Geospatial Science, Water Resources Policy and Management, or Water Resource Science.
  2. Major professor’s primary academic unit is Geography and Environmental Sciences
  3. Enrolled in the academic quarters in which funds are requested, awarded, and used.

How to Apply for a Research or Travel Award

Students are required to submit an application to be considered for an award.  Please contact Kira Hughes if you have any questions.

Post-Award Reporting

Award recipients must submit a summary of outcomes within 30 days of the completion of the conference or research activity for which the funds were used. CEOAS uses these summaries to thank our donors and demonstrate the return on their investment.
