STEM Night with OSU and Scouts: High Tech Under the Sea!

OSU scientists will host an open house at the Ocean Observing Center to show off the amazing underwater technology we use to study the ocean off Oregon. This event is intended to connect existing and prospective scouts of all ages with the great STEM opportunities in oceanography. CEOAS families are most welcome! Come see the massive Ocean Observatories Initiative buoys and underwater gliders.

Integrative Biology presents the Robert M. Storm Distinguished Lecture featuring speaker Dr. Harry Greene, Professor Emeritus, Cornell University. The title of Dr. Greene’s talk: “Natural History and Values: Why Should We Care About Nature?” Presentation will be in the LaSalls Stewart Center on May 31st, reception at 6, lecture to start at 7, and a book signing at 8.
