Drew Bennett (PhD, Geography) will be co-leading a project through the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center (SESYNC) investigating strategies to protect water supplies for major urban areas around the world. Dr. Jon Kimerling has been selected as the recipient of the Cartography and Geographic his Society’s 2014 Distinguished Career Award. This award recognizes his considerable accomplishments in cartography and GIScience.
He has been invited to receive this award at a CaGIS member’s meeting at the Association of American Geographer’s national meeting in Chicago, Illinois in 2015 (the meeting is slated for April 21-25).
