The Xpert Xchange is an availability calendar of CEOAS technicians (FRAs). The goal of the webpage is to match available technicians with PIs seeking assistance. This webpage was set up in response to needs expressed by the CEOAS FRA community and faculty.
Technicians: Use of the site is completely voluntary; technicians are welcome to register and add or change their availability and skill information at any time.
Professors: The webpage lists available personnel and their skills. To discuss potential collaboration, please contact the technician directly.

OSU Libraries has added a subscription to the database OnePetro. OnePetro.org provides access to a broad range of technical literature related to the oil and gas exploration and production industry. The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) operates OnePetro on behalf of its publishing partners. Access OnePetro through the links provided here or by visiting the library’s database list.
*Streaming Video Trials Underway
The library has two streaming video trials underway. Streaming videos provide access to the videos regardless of a student’s location and can be used in classrooms or as supplementary course materials.
Available through September 14th, 2014: The Films Media Group Master Academic Collection and Career & Technical Education Collection (request access credentials from firstname.lastname@example.org) combine to provide over 20,000 streaming videos covering a wide range of categories. The Master Academic Collection covers subject areas such as geology, geography, physical sciences, health & medicine, the humanities, social sciences, biology, engineering, mathematics, economics, and business. These high-quality videos are produced by well-known production companies such as BBC, PBS, A&E, National Geographic, ABC, NBC, TED, CBC, and more. The Career & Technical Education Collection provides an assortment of videos covering topics such as career & job search, technical education, guidance & counseling, and family & consumer sciences.
Available through October 14th, 2014: VAST: Academic Video Online is a multidisciplinary collection of videos hosted by Alexander Street Press that touches on the curriculum needs of virtually every department. It provides thousands of titles available covering a wide range of topics such as science, environmental sciences, architecture, business, economics, health, history, literature, political science, psychology, religion and many more. VAST allows students and researchers alike to analyze unique and valuable content from over 500 producers and distributors around the world.
