K-12 and Public Outreach

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor couple as well as contributions from others, CEOAS now has a “K-12 and Public Outreach Fund” specifically to support outreach activity.  We would like to hear from you and what you have been doing regarding K-12 and Public outreach along with areas where you could use some support. Contact Angela Dammen, Executive Assistant to the CEOAS Dean, 541-737-5193

New Google Group

I have created an OSU Google Group open to everyone in CEOAS interested in the intersection of computers/technology and research/education.  Possible topics include MOOCs, online classroom resources, scientific computing, latex proposal templates, social media for science outreach ...

To join, go to <https://groups.google.com/a/onid.oregonstate.edu/forum/#!forum/osu_ceoas_computers-group>.  You will need to log in with a google account.  Email me (kshell@coas) if you have problems joining.

CEOAS Mobile Site

CEOAS now has a mobile-friendly webpage optimized for small-screen devices such as smartphones. Go to the regular CEOAS website with such a device and you will be automatically redirected to the mobile site. You can also get to the mobile site with a tablet or large-screen browser via the "Mobile" link at the bottom right of the CEOAS website or by going directly to:

We will continue to make improvements, so don't be surprised if the look of the page changes over time. Check it out!
