Photo of the Week

photo of the week
Collection of images from recent field work in Alsea River and Alsea Bay conducted by Miguel Goni and Jim Lecrzak's research groups. The project is funded by the National Science Foundation and seeks to quantify the land-ocean transport of water, sediment and carbon by coastal range rivers during floods. Included in this collage are images of the Alsea River and Alsea Bay under high discharge conditions after the recent (and on-going) storms, and of David Langer (Faculty Research Assistant), Yvan Alleau (Faculty Research Assistant) and Jim Lerczak (Associate Professor) during field operations.
