Graduate Programs: How to Apply
We offer the following graduate programs:
- Marine Resource Management (MRM) master's degree
- Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (OEAS) master's and doctoral degrees
The OEAS degree program offers concentrations in Atmospheric Sciences, Geophysics, and Oceanography.
- Geography master's and doctoral degrees
Graduate student majoring in Geography can specialize in geographic information science, physical geography, or resource geography.
- Geology master's and doctoral degrees
The Geology graduate program's greatest strengths are in the areas of glacial geology, geochemistry, hydrogeology, structural geology, geomorphology, geophysics, igneous petrology, nectonics, and volcanology and mineral deposits.

Application Deadline
Applicants wishing to start their studies during fall term should submit all application materials by the preceding January 5.
Decisions for fall term admission are usually completed by April 15.
Campus and College Visits
To arrange a visit to see Corvallis and OSU, and to meet CEOAS faculty and students, please email a current CV or resume, and a brief Statement of Interest (student_advisor@coas.oregonstate.edu)
In preparation for your visit, you may be asked to submit the following as available:
- Transcripts (these can be from a web account)
- GRE or other scores
- Potential reference names and their affiliations
- A recent writing sample
