Undergraduate Program

The Earth Sciences Program offers Bachelor of Science degrees with options in Earth Systems, Geography, and Geology. Experiential learning is integrated into the degrees through lab-intensive courses, field experiences, and opportunities for internships and undergraduate research. The program builds on Oregon State University's excellence in the sciences of the solid Earth, ocean, and atmosphere; in marine and terrestrial ecology and hydrology; and in natural resource and environmental management and planning.

The program is compelling for students with broad interests in the Earth, Earth systems and their interaction with society. Graduates have successful careers in fields such as environmental and resource consulting and planning and in education. More than half continue to obtain graduate degrees.
